Shipping & Pick-Up

Processing Time:
We try to process items and have them to the post office 1-2 business days after the order is recieved and payment is cleared.

Standard Shipping Times:
Canada: 6-8 business days (Expedited Parcel), 2-3 days (Xpresspost)
United States: 6-10 business days (US Tracked Packet)
Everywhere else: Contact me before purchasing for a quote. Services vary by location.

Rush Orders: If you need your order quicker than the time frame provided, please contact me before ordering for custom shipping quotes.

Note: Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping method you choose. Please be aware that postal delays do occur, and we cannot guarantee these times.

Customs and Import Taxes:
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. Vessel Arts Co is not responsible for delays due to customs. If the item cannot be delivered due to country restrictions, you will be refunded the cost of your item(s), minus shipping fees.

Tracking Numbers & Insurance :
All items shipped within Canada/US will be tracked/insured for damage during transport (unless otherwise stated). Once the item has shipped, I will contact you with tracking information.

Local Pick-up:
Please contact me using the contact form, email, or phone to arrange pick-up once your order has been processed. I work out of Workshop Studios (Calgary, AB) and most pick-ups will be arranged from here.

Clearance Items: 
Seconds & clearance items are final sale.

Regular Priced/Made to Order Items: 
At this time, regular priced/custom orders are final sale. However, if you are unhappy with your work please contact us at lindsey@vesselartsco.com so we can find a solution. We genuinely want you to be happy with us & our work.

Broken on Arrival: 
We do our best to pack work very carefully, but sometimes accidents happen in transport. Please contact me within 7 days of recieving the package so that I can open a complaint with the postal service. Please include photos and do not throw away work, in case Canada Post/USPS needs to see it. I will refund you as soon as the insurance claim is confirmed.

Questions/concerns about your order? Please contact lindsey@vesselartsco.com if you have any problems. We value our customers, and will do our absolute best to make things right!

Please do keep in mind that all items are hand-made, one-of-a-kind. There will be slight variances in size, color & shape. We find these make handmade ceramics unique and valuable, rather than flawed.


Payment Options

Payments online are taken securely through Square & Paypal. We do not have access to your financial information, and your personal (name, contact) information is protected. All prices are in Canadian dollars. Tax is applied based on your location. For those who have chosen "local pick-up", cash payments are an option. 


Your personal data is secure and will only be used to process your order, and support your experience throughout this website. If you check the email box during check-out, we will automatically add you to our e-mailing list for exclusive updates, sales, and coupon codes (Only a few emails per year). Not interested in receiving any more of our emails? Don't worry! You can unsubscribe at any time by hitting the "unsubscribe" button in the bottom of our emails.

Other FAQ's

Can I put my piece in the dishwasher/microwave? In general, it is recommended that you hand wash to preserve the life of your handmade ceramics (But honestly, we don't always follow our own advice). Be aware that darker clay pieces can get hot when heated in the microwave due to their high iron content. Pieces with gold/metalic lustres should NEVER go in the microwave or dishwasher.

Is your work safe to eat/drink from? All pieces are lined with a food-safe and durable glaze for your peace of mind. 

Can you do gift wrapping? Yes. If you have something special in mind, please contact me. I will try to accommodate this if possible! If you would like a special note included with the package, please include your message in the notes to seller.

Can I order a custom piece? Contact me directly for further details. My ability to complete custom work depends on my schedule and the time-frame provided. Custom orders are generally final sale.

Why does my piece look different than it did in the photos? We try to take good, accurate photos of our work. However, sometimes screen color settings may vary.

Note: I inspect all of my work to make sure it meets quality standards. However, slight imperfections/variances are what make pottery unique. Clearance items with imperfections will be clearly marked.
